CBNBL – National Botanical Conservatoire of Bailleul

Le Conservatoire botanique national de Bailleul

CBNBL will carry out an initial study of the flora and vegetation of the lower Saâne valley which will be used for the analysis of expected evolutions within the framework of climate change and of a reconnection between the sea and the lower valley.

CBNBL will intervene in the Saâne valley, in Haute-Normandie. It will carry out an initial study of the flora and vegetation on the site, of their function, and produce a study protocol that will allow the scientific observation of modifications linked to global changes and a planned reconnection between the sea and the lower valley. Within the project CBNBL will supply:

–          A map of vegetal species that are of patrimonial interest  (rare and endangered species)

–          A map of halophile and subhalophile species (indicating salty sectors)

–          A map of different vegetation present on the site

–          A study protocol to be implemented.
