Shared coastlines across the English Channel and the North Sea provide a wealth of resources and opportunities to the people who live, work and holiday in these beautiful areas. However, coastal zones are under continuous and increasing pressure as many sectors and interests are competing within this vital and limited space.

There is much to learn from neighbouring countries on how to be better prepared for change. On 25 September 2014, the INTERREG 2 Seas Programme Authorities and the PRiME-C Cluster project partners had the pleasure of welcoming an international audience to share best practice in risk management and engagement in coastal areas. This conference brought together expertise developed over six years of partnership working in cross-sector coastal management.
